Bus Ministry

I am blessed with a good family -- my wife, Julia, four grown children, and several grandkids.  I accepted Jesus Christ at age 22 and rededicated at age 26.  At that time, I was called by God to become a bus captain at another local church in Bartlesville and served 11 years in the bus ministry.  Years later, here I am at First Wesleyan Church and God has called me again to bring children to His house.  It's exciting to work with young people, to get into their lives and watch them learn how much the Lord loves them.

My relationship with Christ began at a bible study. A friend here at Wesleyan had been inviting me for years, but I never accepted. However, one day for the Lords reasons I went and it changed my life. Since that day God has blessed me more than I can imagine. He has blessed me with my marriage and kids. The Lord has opened many doors for me, for example, as in going back to college, promotion at work, and a peace, which is hard to describe and equally important is the bus ministry Christ has put in my life. How it happened that I am involved in the bus ministry I really cannot tell you. I only know that it was the Lord telling me to be more involved and he opened this door to me and I walked in. I truly look forward to coming to and being a part of this new ministry here at First Wesleyan. Also, I believe it is so important to show the kids our Lord Jesus is there for them and he truly loves them and wants their life to be full of joy. I know now that all this is for the Lord and I want to honor him in what ever I do.
